Ven Pongal

1.Raw rice 1 cup
2.Moong dal 2 tblsp
3.Ghee 2 tblsp
4.Crushed pepper 1 tblsp
5.Cumin seeds 1 tblsp
6.Water 5 cups
7.Broken cashewnuts few
8.Ginger 1 tblsp (chopped)
9.Curry leaves few
10.salt as required

1.Fry rice and moongdal separately in a Kadai for few minutes.
2.Pour five cups of water.
Pressurecook for fifteen minutes (allow five whistles)
3.After removing the lid add salt,ghee,and ginger.
4.Fry cashewnuts, pepper and cumin seeds in ghee.
Pour over pongal and mix well.
