Burmese coconut rice


1.Raw rice 2 cups
2.Coconut milk 2 cups
3.Onion sliced 1
4.Sugar 2 tsp
5.Oil and salt as required
6.sesame seeds 2 tsp (for garnishing)

1.Heat oil in a pan.Add onions and fry till brown.
Add rice ,coconut milk,sugar and salt. Mix well.
2.Add enough water to reach one inch above the rice.
3.Bring to boil,cover with lid and simmer for 20 minutes.
4.Stir rice with fork and sprinkle sesame seeds and serve.
